Toon Doo gave me a bumpy start. It had something to do with Flash, but at first it wouldn't run on either IE or Chrome. Then it just got sorted out by itself, and .... wow!!

It was sheer delight! I first created my own characters through TraitR (I felt like a witness working for a sketch artist, compiling noses, eyebrows, the lot!), and then set out to compose the story.

For each scene there was a myriad backgrounds, props and other options (I confess I didn't try them all out), as well as the more "traditional" functions such as flipping, shrinking, bringing to front.

I discovered I could even change the facial expressions of my characters each time I used them.

I hope you like it! I had a blast creating it!

Make Beliefs is again very simple to use, and requires no registration. At first I couldn't get the "Start" screen on IE, so I switched to Chrome, and there it was.
When you finish you can print the cartoon or email the link, but even after emailing it you can still edit it further (as long as you don't leave the window).

This is my first Garfield comic. It was really easy to create, and can be saved as jpg or png. The only little problem I had is that I could not insert a question mark. It doesn't understand my keyboard fully, and it doesn't read ASCII, either. But that's just a minor thing :=)

This is an activity one of my students (a teacher-to-be) carried out in 2010.

After reading the novel Nice Work by David Lodge  I suggested a number of Creative Response activities, which included, among others, a trailer for an imaginary film version or writing an alternative ending. This student chose to "summarise" the novel as if it were a cartoon.

Digital Storytelling for Young Learners asked participants to start the workshop by introducing themselves including the following information

The choice of tool was open. We were just asked to be creative.

Personally I chose Glogster, which I had learnt in Podcasting EVO 2011.

I have created this tale using Little Bird Tales for Digital Storytelling 4 Kids.

The story is by Indian writer Suniti Namjoshi.

The pictures were selected via CompFight and Wikimedia Commons. However, they all require attribution, and I don't know how to include that information using a site like this. Any tips?

I liked Scapblog a lot, and was ready to use it to showcase my holiday pics - only to discover it has merged with Mixbook! No sound effects available here, but I must say they imported my photos, though not my project.
