This is an activity one of my students (a teacher-to-be) carried out in 2010.
After reading the novel Nice Work by David Lodge I suggested a number of Creative Response activities, which included, among others, a trailer for an imaginary film version or writing an alternative ending. This student chose to "summarise" the novel as if it were a cartoon.
